Installation

If Wild card mapping is enabled,

a.) Accessing RAS ports:

Auto-discovery (MAG) protocol is used to discover and query status of RAS products. It

uses the configured server name, general line, and specific line details to map the port

implicitly.

i.) Mode is set to MAG,

When the application opens the COM port, MCSI uses MAG (proprietary) protocol.

If Authentication is enabled, the Login details are used when any application opens

the COM port. Login prompt and Password prompt are not valid for MAG

authentication mechanism.

ii.) Mode is set to Telnet,

When the application opens the COM port, MCSI uses telnet protocol.

If Authentication is enabled, the Login details are used for transparent login

mechanism when any application opens the COM port.

iii.) Mode is set to Raw-TCP,

When the application opens the COM port, MCSI uses tcp protocol.

If Authentication is enabled, the Login details are used for transparent login

mechanism when any application opens the COM port.
