Ifyoudidnotusethepre‐installerforWindows,thisistheprocessforinstallingyourmodem.

1. Powerupyourcomputer.

2. Ifyouhavenotalreadydoneso,connectthemodem’sUSBcabletoaUSBportonthecomputer

andconnectthephonelinebetweenthemodemandatelephonewalljack.

3. WindowswilldetectthatthenewmodemispresentandstarttheNewHardwarewizard.Select

the‘Locateandinstalldriversoftware(recommended)’option.



Note:

Throughouttheinstallation,youmaybepromptedbytheVista‘UserAccountControl’

(hereafterreferredtoastheUAC).Whenprompted,pleaseclicktheContinuebuttonto

proceedwiththeinstallation.


